The Red Jackets — website for the Latvian Exporters Association

The Red Jackets is the Latvian Exporters Association, bringing together more than 60 leading exporting companies from various industries — from food and woodworking to cosmetics and construction. For an organization like this, the site serves several roles at once: it’s a business card for potential members, a content platform, and a place where real actions happen — membership applications and purchases.

The site’s structure follows this multifunctionality. The public part tells the story of the association, its three business lines, the team, the board, and partners — content that builds trust and attracts new members. Alongside it, a news section with articles on export topics serves as an important communication channel for the association.

Technically, the site is built on WordPress with a WPML bilingual solution — Latvian and English — since in an export context, English isn’t a choice but a necessity. A separate membership section was built with personal accounts and a registration flow: “Become a member” isn’t just a form, but a path that connects an interested party with the association.

The site also has a built-in WooCommerce store — it sells the association’s book “Treasures of Latvia,” with a cart, account, and order processing. This is full e-commerce functionality on an organization’s website that isn’t fundamentally a store.

The site is adapted for mobile and maintained so that news, the member list, and events stay current throughout the association’s ongoing activity.
