The WordPress website for gastroenterology clinic GASTRO CENTRS: a service catalogue, online appointment booking, patient preparation forms, and three languages, migrated from an older system.
GASTRO CENTRS is one of the leading digestive disease clinics in the Baltics — an institution with more than 20 years of experience, ISO certification, and two branches in Riga. For a clinic with this kind of history, the website serves a dual purpose: on one hand, it’s a mark of trust for a new patient, and on the other, a practical tool for booking appointments and preparing for examinations.
The project was based on migrating the site to WordPress from an older system. Over the years, the clinic has accumulated a large volume of content — doctor profiles, dozens of services, preparation instructions, a news archive — and the old structure no longer allowed it to be managed conveniently. The new platform organized this content so it could be updated without a developer, and so patients could quickly find what they needed.
The service structure is the core of the site. Nine specialties — from gastroenterology and diagnostics to urology, pediatrics, and rehabilitation — are organized so patients move from a broad area to a specific consultation or examination, complete with a description and a booking option. “Book an appointment” is available right where the person makes the decision, not hidden away in a separate section.
A separate part specific to the clinic is patient documents. Preparation instructions for colonoscopy and other examinations, consent forms, and patient questionnaires are available on the site in three languages — the goal is to reduce time at reception and let patients prepare in advance. This is functionality that directly affects the clinic’s day-to-day operations.
The site operates in three languages — Latvian, Russian, and English — since the clinic’s patients include both locals and medical tourists, and it is adapted for mobile.
The online platform for insurer Balcia: 10+ product calculators with instant pricing, a subscription model, online claims filing, and two languages.
