A website for the multi-specialty medical centre Dr. Mauriņa Clinic: a service catalogue, doctor profiles, online booking, insurance and instalment-payment integrations, and three languages.
Dr. Mauriņa Clinic is one of the largest private medical centres in the Baltics — 4,000 square metres, six operating rooms, and more than 70,000 patients a year. Eight medical fields ranging from phlebology and proctology to plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine. For a clinic of this scale, the website is the first point of contact with the patient, and real patient load depends on how easily they can find a service and book an appointment.
At the heart of the site is the service structure. Each field breaks down into sub-services, and each sub-service leads to a specific procedure with a description, price, and a “Book a visit” button. The task was to organise dozens of procedures so that a patient searching for, say, vein laser surgery, reaches it in a few clicks instead of getting lost in medical terminology.
Booking is a separate piece of logic. The “Book a visit” button is tied to a specific procedure and a specific specialist — the system knows exactly what the person is booking, rather than just redirecting to a generic form. Alongside this is a doctors section with profiles, specialisations, and links to their procedures.
Around the core functionality is a set of services that reduce the load on reception: an ePrivilege card with monthly discounts, instalment payments via Inbank with terms from 6 to 72 months, direct contracts with insurers, outreach consultations in 20 cities, and an articles section with medical content. The site is also separately connected to the group’s online store, ameda.lv.
The site works in three languages — Latvian, English, and Russian — and is fully adapted for mobile, since people often search for medical services right on their phone, at the moment the problem has already become urgent.
The online platform for insurer Balcia: 10+ product calculators with instant pricing, a subscription model, online claims filing, and two languages.
