AlkOutlet.lv — online store development on Magento

AlkOutlet is one of the largest alcoholic beverage and wine store chains in Latvia, combining a wide product range, expert recommendations, and convenient nationwide delivery. The online store runs on Magento — one of the most powerful e-commerce platforms in the world, providing the flexibility to manage a large product volume, frequent promotions, and a complex category structure.

The project began with a UX/UI audit that identified barriers in the existing user experience, navigation, and conversion. Based on this, a custom category and filter system was built — products can be browsed by beverage type, volume, strength, country of origin, and producer, making it easier to navigate a large assortment of several thousand products.

E-commerce in the alcohol industry has its own specifics — age verification, legal restrictions on advertising and sales, and the need to quickly update prices and availability during frequent promotions. The platform was built to meet these requirements while keeping the shopping process fast and simple.

The online store integrates several delivery solutions — courier delivery and Omniva parcel lockers across Latvia — as well as features like a wishlist, product badges (such as “New” or contest awards), and newsletter sign-up. A dedicated part of the site is devoted to the “Wine School” — masterclasses, corporate and private events that customers can book online.

After launch, INCATE continues to provide technical maintenance for the site, allowing the AlkOutlet team to focus on assortment, promotions, and customer service.
